Two of my co-workers got engaged in the tiny period of time between leaving work on Friday and coming back to the office today. I knew about the guy, since he even told us how he was going to do it and where. We werent' sure if she'd say yes, and to be honest, I had my doubts about him going through with it. So today I found out she said 'Yes', so mazl tov!

Well, apparently, my other co-worker is somewhere on the ninth cloud now as well, because her bf proposed on Saturday....What I couldn't understand there was that months ago, they went shopping for a ring together, so he's had the ring for a couple of months now and popped the question finally; she felt it was going to happen but didn't know exactly when.


Will someone explain to me the point of going together to pick out a ring when you didn't pop the question???
If the girl is the kind that needs to pick out the rock herself, then you ask her to marry you and depending on the answer, you then go and pick out the ring....Or you get the ring and then find the right moment and ask her...

What's the point of going together getting the ring, the girl knowing that you have the ring, yet waiting for months to ask her?


Am I missing something?
